Overview

As a Loss Control Specialist at Axis Insurance Managers Inc., you will play a crucial role in evaluating property and operational risks, developing reports for loss prevention, and collaborating with clients to implement risk reduction strategies.

In Short

• Plan, coordinate, and complete inspections.
• Evaluate property and operational risks.

• Maintain records of reports and responses.
• Provide technical support to brokers and underwriters.
• Deliver training on loss prevention best practices.
• Act as a liaison between insurers, clients, and brokers.
• Assist in the training of Loss Prevention and Underwriting staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, occupational health & safety, or related field.
• Professional designation or certifications preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in risk engineering or loss prevention.
• In-depth knowledge of building codes and safety regulations in Canada.
• Willingness to travel to client sites.
• Bilingual (English/French).
