Overview

As a Toolroom Engineer at BD, you will work on various metalworking machines and collaborate with the engineering team to manufacture, maintain, and improve tooling processes.

In Short

  • Work on mills, grinders, lathes, and CNC machines.
  • Manufacture and repair jigs and fixtures.
  • Collaborate with engineering for process improvements.
  • Conduct tooling maintenance and repairs.
  • Assist with new product introductions.
  • Document maintenance activities using CMMS.
  • Source spare components for tooling maintenance.
  • Prioritize tasks for timely maintenance response.
  • Maintain high safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Interpret engineering drawings for repairs and modifications.

Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Engineering.
  • Up to 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of engineering materials and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently and in a team.
  • Motivated to learn and develop skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • CAD knowledge is a distinct advantage.
