Overview

The Key Account Manager (KAM) at Base-IT is responsible for building and expanding strategic customer relationships in the Southern region, focusing on medium-sized and enterprise clients with an emphasis on Microsoft-based solutions, IT security, and managed services.

In Short

  • Build and maintain a stable customer network in the Southern region.
  • Manage existing key accounts with revenue and retention targets.
  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
  • Oversee complex sales cycles from consulting to projects and managed services.
  • Prepare and conduct customer meetings, workshops, and management presentations.
  • Maintain active relationships with manufacturers, particularly Microsoft.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturers on account strategies and customer activities.
  • Utilize manufacturer programs to enhance value for customers.
  • Translate technical solutions into clear business value.
  • Work closely with presales, consulting, and operations teams.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in Key Account Management / IT sales.
  • Strong network in the Southern region (Steiermark & Kärnten).
  • Solid knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem (Cloud & Security).
  • Experience with enterprise clients and complex IT environments.
  • Understanding of managed services and long-term customer relationships.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ownership mentality.
  • High customer and service orientation.
  • Strong communication skills with management and C-level executives.
  • Structured and independent working style.
  • Team player with cross-functional skills between sales and technology.
