Overview

The Senior Payroll Representative plays a critical role in managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing support to employees and managers in a healthcare setting.

In Short

  • Operate automated payroll systems and ensure accuracy in payroll processing.
  • Compile and verify payroll data for reporting and compliance.
  • Provide training and support for payroll systems to managers.
  • Handle tax-related responsibilities and ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Assist with adjustments and corrections to payroll entries.
  • Track employee leave and PTO adjustments accurately.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments within the organization.
  • Provide payroll services across multiple states in various healthcare settings.
  • Participate in special projects and committees as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Experience in payroll or finance with knowledge of relevant laws.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently.
  • Proficiency in creating complex spreadsheets and databases.
  • Knowledge of payroll systems, preferably Lawson and Kronos.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership and customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
