Overview

The National Account Director (NAD) will serve as the primary point of contact for sales and account management activities for assigned managed markets customers and will also lead all contracting efforts.

In Short

  • Strategically own formulary access, reimbursement, and profitability within targeted accounts specific to the Neuromuscular franchise.
  • Maximize sales opportunities in accordance with product labeling and Company policies.
  • Develop and present sound clinical, pharmacoeconomic, and business presentations to customers based on mutual needs/benefits.
  • Develop and grow business partnerships within the designed accounts in the defined geography.
  • Analyze and understand the local environment and account business.
  • Monitor account progress and act or evolve plans as appropriate.
  • Develop effective relationships with key C-Suite and administrative roles within an account.
  • Identify regional-specific opportunities and barriers to ensure corporate success.
  • Understand and engage in key healthcare issues/strategies.
  • Provide leadership and development to internal and external matrix teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 10+ years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience, including 5+ years as a National Account Director in Market Access.
  • Knowledge of managed care and pharmacy benefit management (PBM) customer segments.
  • Excellent understanding of the US market access environment.
  • Strong collaboration and leadership skills.
  • Working knowledge of the contracting function and legal requirements.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication, teamwork, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% and attend meetings/conferences as requested.
