Accounting Manager - Remote

Overview

The Accounting Manager at Avery Dennison is a key member of the NASSO team, responsible for ensuring the financial statements are accurately stated and driving GAAP compliance within the business.

In Short

• Provide technical and accounting guidance to the business.
• Accountable for timely and accurate monthly and quarterly close processes.
• Oversee monthly lease accounting activities.
• Support compliance initiatives and policies.
• Lead Sarbanes-Oxley activities and coordinate with business process owners.
• Drive continuous process improvements and standardization.
• Manage relationships with outsourced business process providers.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a talented pool of employees.
• Establish performance objectives for team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting and/or financial experience.
• Public accounting experience is a plus.
• Previous Sarbanes-Oxley experience required.
• Experience managing and developing talent.
• Experience with GAAP reporting.
• ERP and/or financial systems experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
