Overview

The Accounting Manager oversees the accounting function, manages GL and financial statement reporting, and supervises day-to-day accounting activities to ensure the company's performance and success.

In Short

  • Manage the general ledger and financial statement reporting for month, quarter, and year-end close.
  • Conduct P&L analysis.
  • Supervise, train, and lead accounting staff.
  • Participate in various audit engagements.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and long-term growth development.
  • Present monthly financial results to operational managers.
  • Oversee cash management for multiple companies.
  • Prepare cash flow statements and analyze monthly changes in the balance sheet.
  • Engage in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Assist in special projects, including software implementation and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • Five or more years of experience in Accounting/Finance.
  • One or more years of experience supervising staff.
  • Experience with Great Plains is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and critical thinking abilities.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Excel.
  • Desire to learn and grow professionally.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Ability to quickly master new software packages.
