Accounting Manager - Remote

Overview

The Accounting Manager position at The Ambr Group involves managing a team and overseeing day-to-day accounting operations in a high-growth start-up environment.

In Short

• Reports directly to the Controller and is part of the Accounting & Finance team.
• Manage a team of up to two direct reports.
• Oversee general ledger accounting, inventory, treasury, AP/AR, and payroll.
• Prepare and review financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
• Establish cash flow statements for consumer brands.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Ensure timely tax filing for multiple states.
• Implement accounting best practices and procedures.
• Collaborate on budgets and forecasts.
• Participate in special projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience.
• 1 year of supervisory experience in accounting roles.
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience with financial statement preparation.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel.
• Understanding of e-commerce and inventory management systems preferred.
• Strong understanding of internal controls.
• Experience in multi-entity consolidations is a plus.
