Accounting Manager - Remote

Overview

The Ambr Group is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the company’s accounting operations, reporting directly to the Controller and managing a team in a high-growth, e-commerce environment.

• Lead and mentor a small team of accountants.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, revenue recognition, and payroll.
• Prepare and review financial statements ensuring compliance with accounting principles.
• Establish cash flow forecasts for consumer brands.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Ensure timely tax filing for multiple states.
• Implement best practices to enhance accounting functions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial practices with business goals.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax laws.
• Participate in special projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA or CMA preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with 2+ years in a management role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with general ledger functions and month-end close processes.
• Proficiency in Accounting/ERP software and Excel/Google Sheets.
• Experience in e-commerce or high-transaction environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of internal controls.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter with a mindset for process improvement.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
