Senior Product Solution Engineer - Technical Lead - Remote

Overview

The Senior Product Solution Engineer (PSE) – Technical Lead position supports our sales organization in achieving a technical win as part of the sales cycle with our prospects, partners, and customers. Specifically, the role's main function is to act as a Technical Subject Matter Expert in the sales process around Avalara product functionality, transaction tax scenarios, and connectivity capabilities to prospects' systems. You will have an active relationship with Avalara's internal product and content teams to ensure the customer's voice is part of our ongoing product development. You can work with companies all over the world as they address complex challenges in their business. You will report to the Director, Product Solution Engineering and can work remote.

In Short

• Act as a Subject Matter expert for 15+ Avalara solutions.
• Provide technical expertise on ERP, CRM, eComm, and POS solutions.
• Support prospects and customers building their own integration with API.
• Participate as a featured speaker at marketing events.
• Collaborate with product teams to define new product requirements.
• Stay updated with industry trends.

Requirements

• Deep expertise around tax scenarios and associated requirements.
• Ability to explain complex tax scenarios simply.
• Operational knowledge of Avalara Solutions.
• Experience with different systems (ERP, CRM, POS, eComm).
• Deep experience working with APIs.
• Conduct product demonstrations and public speaking.
• 12+ years in a similar tax or technology field.
