Assured is on a mission to modernize insurance. Claims processing (i.e. should we pay this claim?), while often overlooked, is the foundation of the entire industry. It’s currently highly manual, involving phone calls, faxes, and gut instinct—costing tens of billions of dollars a year. We can do better.

In Short

• Work across the stack to launch and iterate on consequential components of the Assured platform
• Write lots of code: Conceptualize, build, test, and ship new products and features for our customers
• Understand customer feedback and advocate for product direction
• Lead, mentor, and learn from other engineers on our growing team
• Take new features from idea to mockup to fully-fledged product
• Design, implement, test, and launch a new integrated “vehicle picker” for users
• Discover new factors correlated with end-user conversion rates and run A/B tests
• Implement new integrations with customer’s core systems of record

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience preferred
• Experience building complex modern web applications
• An eye for thoughtful design and end-user experience
• Relatively technology-background agnostic
