Accounts Payable Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for entering and processing invoices for approximately 15 real estate properties.

In Short

• Receives and verifies invoices, requisitions, and expense reports.
• Verifies that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
• Enters batches of invoices, processes invoices for payment, and files paid invoices.
• Responds to inquiries from vendors and company personnel.
• Performs research to resolve statements, credits, problem invoices, and disputes.
• Assembles and processes overnight shipments.
• Assists Accountant as needed with monthly closeout and generating reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• This role does not require travel.

Requirements

• Experience with invoice verification and expense reports.
• Knowledge of financial policies and procedures.
• Ability to enter batches of invoices and process payments.
• Strong communication skills for vendor inquiries.
• Research skills for resolving financial discrepancies.
• Experience with report generation and accounting support.
• Ability to maintain petty cash card program.
• Flexibility to perform additional duties as assigned.
