Overview

Ascendient is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive lead generation and build a sustainable pipeline across the firm’s three divisions: Strategy, Regulatory, and Public Health.

In Short

  • Drive lead generation and outbound prospecting for healthcare consulting.
  • Manage the early stages of the sales pipeline using HubSpot.
  • Provide business development support including proposal writing.
  • Execute targeted marketing tasks to support pipeline activity.
  • Fluency in AI tools like ChatGPT is required.
  • Build and maintain a process for proposal and RFP support.
  • Coordinate logistics for conference participation.
  • Stay current on healthcare market trends.
  • Work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • 8+ years of experience in business development or sales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Exceptional written communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot or other CRM tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Comfortable using AI tools for various tasks.
  • Familiarity with SEO and digital marketing concepts.
  • Experience in proposal writing in a B2B context.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Curiosity about healthcare and public health.
  • Resourcefulness and ability to figure things out independently.
