Overview

Argus is looking for a Business Development professional to join our team in Sydney, working with and closely supporting editorial and commercial teams across Asia. The candidate should be business-focused, self-driven, confident, resourceful and versatile.

In Short

  • Oil products/biofuels professional or business development professional with at least five years’ experience.
  • Experienced and outgoing analyst/journalist with at least five years’ experience.
  • Looking for opportunities for Argus to meet the rapidly changing needs of the biofuels/oil products markets.
  • Work closely with teams in Singapore and London.
  • Seek new business opportunities and liaise with sales to grow revenue.
  • Attend industry events and present at conferences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance Argus’ oil products and biofuels business.
  • Establish relationships with key industry members.
  • Ability to work effectively with management and meet targets.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Requirements

  • A strong bachelor’s degree, preferably in Commerce, Economics, Journalism, Communications, Business or a relevant field.
  • Capacity to represent Argus in meetings with senior businesspeople.
  • A track record in contact development.
  • An investigative mind that can discover industry needs and trends.
  • Understanding of the global and/or local biofuel/oil products markets.
  • Experience in creating presentations in a fast-moving business environment.
  • Prior experience in the financial, energy, commodities or journalism sectors is beneficial.
  • Ability to work effectively with management and meet targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
