Scrum Master - Remote

Overview

Ardent is seeking a Scrum Master to support Agile delivery for a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) program. This individual will serve as the team facilitator, ensuring Agile principles and best practices are followed to drive team performance, stakeholder collaboration, and incremental delivery of high-value solutions.

• Remote position
• Facilitate Scrum events including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure product backlogs are well-defined and prioritized.
• Remove impediments to team progress and support continuous improvement.
• Track Agile metrics such as velocity and team performance.
• Foster strong communication within the team and across stakeholders.
• Coach team members in Agile values and practices.
• Support user story development and acceptance criteria.
• Utilize tools like Jira and Confluence for backlog management.

Requirements

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
• 7+ years of experience facilitating Agile ceremonies.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
• Proficiency in Agile project management tools such as Jira.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to support Agile teams in a hybrid work environment.
• Prior experience on federal IT projects preferred.
