Scrum Master - Remote

Overview

Ardent is seeking a Scrum Master to support Agile delivery for a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) program. This individual will serve as the team facilitator, ensuring Agile principles and best practices are followed to drive team performance, stakeholder collaboration, and incremental delivery of high-value solutions.

In Short

• Serve as the Scrum Master for Agile teams.
• Facilitate Scrum events including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with Product Owners on product backlogs.
• Remove impediments to team progress.
• Track Agile metrics for reporting and transparency.
• Foster communication within the team and with stakeholders.
• Coach team members in Agile values and practices.
• Support user story development and refinement sessions.
• Utilize tools like Jira and Confluence for management and collaboration.

Requirements

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent certification.
• 7+ years of experience facilitating Agile ceremonies.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
• Proficiency in Agile project management tools.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in a hybrid/distributed work environment.
• Prior experience on federal or DHS-related IT projects preferred.
