Ardent is seeking a GIS Analyst - Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is passionate about geospatial technologies and eager to learn and grow in a collaborative environment. As a GIS Analyst - Developer, you will work closely with our senior developers and project managers to design, develop, and implement GIS solutions that address our clients' needs.

In Short

Craft innovative GIS applications and tools to support critical government initiatives.
Collaborate closely with team members to gather requirements and design technical solutions.
Develop and maintain geospatial databases and data models.
Implement data visualization techniques to present spatial information effectively.
Conduct testing and debugging to ensure reliability and performance of GIS applications.
Support the deployment and integration of GIS solutions with existing systems.
Stay updated on emerging GIS technologies and best practices.
Research innovative ways to capture, integrate, filter and display data.
Work with extremely short timelines.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, or a related field.
4+ years in a strong understanding of GIS concepts and principles.
Proficiency in GIS software such as Esri ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms.
Experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.
A strong background in geospatial technology, with expertise in metadata standards, ISO standards, and Survey123.
Familiarity with geospatial data formats and spatial databases.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with web mapping libraries/frameworks.
Knowledge of geospatial analysis techniques and tools.
Experience with version control systems.
Familiarity with cloud platforms and GIS cloud services.
Previous experience or coursework in software development or GIS development projects.
