Development Manager, Renewable Energy - Remote

Overview

The Development Manager will manage the activities required to develop utility-scale wind and solar energy projects, leading multi-million-dollar infrastructure projects and supporting the entire life cycle of a project.

• Manage and lead the development process of utility-scale wind and/or solar energy projects.
• Oversee state, federal, and local permitting efforts.
• Interpret technical engineering and environmental reports.
• Manage project financial models and design activities.
• Lead landowner lease negotiations.
• Compile and analyze data for project stakeholders.
• Support negotiation of power purchase agreements.
• Travel to project site locations and attend stakeholder meetings.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a related field.
• 3+ years of project development experience in renewable energy.
• Solid track record in project management and contract negotiations.
• Knowledge of renewable energy financing options.
• Experience with permitting processes.
• Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 40%-50%.
• Valid driver license required.
• Passion for renewable energy.
