Overview

The GIS Analyst at Apex Clean Energy is responsible for producing analysis and maps to support renewable energy projects, focusing on spatial analysis and cartographic products.

In Short

• Produce data analyses and cartographic models for renewable energy projects.
• Consult with customers on GIS services tailored to project needs.
• Coordinate the acquisition and integration of spatial data.
• Develop quality control procedures for data.
• Optimize spatial analyses and workflows.
• Create and manage geodatabases within the GIS.
• Coordinate GIS activities with IT specialists.
• Establish cartographic design standards.
• Support other GIS users in the company.
• Identify new analysis needs and test new data/software.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience with ESRI and other GIS applications.
• Ability to design and administer geodatabases.
• Field data collection experience with GIS tools.
• Experience in plotting property boundaries.
• Exceptional planning and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
