Development Manager - Remote

Overview

The Development Manager is a key position within the Center’s Development team and is responsible for significant aspects of fundraising in alignment with the Center’s mission, long-term vision, and commitment to racial justice and equity.

In Short

• Manage institutional sponsorships and in-kind donations for events.
• Attend monthly Board Fundraising Committee meetings.
• Implement live auction and raffle in collaboration with event production contractors.
• Represent the Center on calls and at events with external partners.
• Produce compelling content for letters of inquiry, proposals, and reports.
• Maintain donor records in Salesforce.
• Stay abreast of best practices in non-profit fundraising.
• Supervise Development Associate.
• Participate in organization-wide racial equity training.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Commitment to the mission of the SF LGBT Center.
• 3-5 years fundraising experience preferred.
• Experience with donor management software/CRM required.
• Excellent administrative skills in Microsoft Office.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Innovative and entrepreneurial approach.
• Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Fluency in English required.
