Overview

We’re seeking a creative storyteller, strategic thinker, and skilled communicator to lead the charge in amplifying the Center’s voice and impact. The Communications Manager will bring expertise in writing, public relations, media engagement, and project management to craft compelling narratives that resonate with our community and expand our reach.

In Short

• Supervise and mentor the Communications Associate.
• Develop and assess the Center’s external communications plan.
• Manage major communications channels and oversee content development.
• Partner with teams to create messaging around LGBTQ+ issues.
• Lead and expand the Center’s media strategy.
• Collaborate on fundraising communications and events.
• Oversee relationships with marketing-related contractors.
• Perform additional tasks to support the Center’s mission.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years’ experience in communications and PR.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in media relations and crisis communications.
• Proficiency in email marketing platforms and website management.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment.
