As a senior software engineer at Alpaca, you will help build and scale the systems and services that empower millions of users who trade billions of dollars worth of assets.

• Contribute to a core system relied upon by millions of users
• Create a global financial identity verification and risk management service
• Implement backend services with a focus on reliability

Requirements

• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive mindset
• Ability to translate business requirements into implementation models
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working on systems at scale (3+ years)
• Proven experience in building and maintaining microservices
• Strong coding skills, preferably in Go
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
• Ability to foresee and debug issues
