Overview

The Distribution Transformer Sales Specialist is responsible for driving sales and business development for GE Prolec Distribution Transformers and Industrial Transformers, focusing on the Southwest region.

In Short

  • Develop and execute growth strategies for Distribution Transformer and Industrial Transformer businesses.
  • Accountable for meeting the order intake plan in the Southwest region.
  • Target sales to Independent Owned Utilities, Public Power, Renewables, and Industrial accounts.
  • Lead pricing strategy and support negotiation activities.
  • Provide sales training to Account Managers and Channels.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Engineering teams for product development.
  • Manage expenses within budget.
  • Travel up to 40% within North America.
  • Maintain opportunity pipeline updates in Salesforce.
  • Support factories in order execution and provide market intelligence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the Transmission & Distribution industry.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, or Application Sales.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven sales management skills in a diversified sales network.
  • Technical background with distribution and power transformers.
  • Ability to motivate and work as a dedicated team player.
  • Experience with channel partners in the Transmission & Distribution industry.
  • Self-starter with strong commercial judgment.
  • Willingness to address climate change through innovative energy solutions.
