Data Engineer - Remote

Overview

Agile Defense is looking for a Data Engineer to join our growing team! The Data Engineer will service existing products with enhancements, bug fixes and updates while also creating new analytics products at the request of the PO.

In Short

• Service existing products with enhancements and updates.
• Create new analytics products at the request of the PO.
• Operate in an Agile environment that continuously deploys code.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for large-scale data processing.
• Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from multiple sources.
• Automate data workflows using CI/CD pipelines.
• Work independently after team onboarding.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members.

Requirements

• 3-5 Years of Experience in Data Engineering.
• Proficient in SQL, pyspark, and bash shell scripting.
• Experience with Databricks, Postgres, and FlaskAPI.
• Knowledge of AWS services like S3, EC2, EKS.
• Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
• Experience in Agile and Scrum development environments.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
• USCIS or DHS experience is preferred.
