As a Data Engineer on the Data Analytics team, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining robust, reliable, and scalable data infrastructure. This position is critical for ensuring our data infrastructure keeps pace with our analytical needs, especially as Human Interest scales to meet the demands of a rapidly growing company.

In Short

• Build and optimize data models in dbt Core for reliable and efficient data.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data ingestion and orchestration using tools like Meltano, Snowpipe, and Airflow.
• Manage and automate data infrastructure in AWS using Terraform.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts and Software Engineers on data requirements.
• Identify and implement improvements in data orchestration and security within Snowflake.
• Develop new data ingestion pipelines into Snowflake.
• Implement efficient testing within dbt for data quality.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience as a Data Engineer focused on data pipeline development.
• Hands-on experience with data modeling and cloud data warehouses.
• Strong Python and SQL skills for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with data ingestion tools and ETL/ELT processes.
• Experience with Airflow.
• Proactive mindset for improving data infrastructure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
