Data Engineer - Remote

In Short

• Data modeling & calculation, maintain and optimize existing ETL jobs and reporting pipelines (Kafka, Airflow, SQL, Dremio)
• Design and implement scalable, cloud-native data processing workflows
• Conduct rigorous data validation and quality assurance across critical systems
• Document and verify data calculation logic for auditability and reproducibility
• Collaborate closely with Product, Dev, and Customer Success to ensure data delivery aligns with stakeholder needs
• Contribute to the definition and implementation of GDPR-compliant, future-proof data architectures
• Play a key role in the transition from legacy systems to the new cloud environment

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in data engineering, ideally in cloud migration contexts
• Strong skills in Python and SQL; experience with Dremio, Pandas, and Jupyter a plus
• Proven hands-on experience with Kafka, Airflow, and Linux shell scripting
• Familiarity with cloud-native platforms (e.g., AWS S3, BigQuery, Glue)
• Understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab, Ansible, Docker)
• Detail-oriented, quality-focused, and self-driven with strong documentation habits
• Working proficiency in German (B2 at least, mandatory), comfortable working in bilingual teams
