General Counsel / Head of Legal - Remote

Overview

This role is part of our Central Team at saas.group. You will build the legal function from the ground up, ideally super-lean by leveraging software, AI, and automation to maximize efficiency.

• Establish a scalable, AI-driven legal operations framework.
• Audit and streamline the legal due diligence process.
• Take ownership of corporate secretarial duties.
• Lead legal due diligence for M&A transactions.
• Manage corporate governance for multiple jurisdictions.
• Oversee legal requirements of a $100M debt facility.
• Partner with People Ops for HR compliance.
• Streamline customer contracts and privacy policies.
• Build processes for IP protection and data privacy.
• Adopt AI tools to scale legal efficiency.

Requirements

• JD, LLM, or equivalent degree, admitted to practice in a major jurisdiction.
• 6+ years of M&A or Venture Capital experience.
• Proficiency in US and European legal frameworks.
• Operational mindset with a focus on AI tools.
• Ability to align with senior leadership.
