Counsel (Operations) - Remote

Overview

AECOM’s Design and Consulting Services-Americas legal department is seeking a creative attorney to support operations in its East Region. This hybrid position includes both remote and in-office work.

In Short

• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts related to architecture, engineering, and construction.
• Provide guidance on risk management and company policies.
• Advise management on legal matters affecting business operations.
• Resolve pre-litigation disputes and manage litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda.
• Support compliance with federal and state laws.
• Assist multiple offices across the East Region.
• Travel periodically, approximately 10% of the time.

Requirements

• J.D. Degree from an accredited law school.
• 5 years of relevant legal experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Member in good standing with a U.S. state bar.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing environments.
