Traffic / ITS Engineer - Remote

Overview

AECOM is seeking a well-qualified Traffic or ITS Engineer to work remotely supporting many different offices across the Greater Midwest and Greater Southwest, providing an opportunity to join a dynamic team that continues to win high profile projects and shape the communities around us.

In Short

• Support a team of professionals to deliver traffic analysis, forecasting, safety studies, and conceptual planning/design.
• Plan sheets, specifications & estimates, technical memoranda, reports, presentations, and other project documentation.
• Work on ITS or emerging technology projects following the systems engineering process.
• Serve in various roles on traffic/ITS projects.
• Participate in the production of technical deliverables.
• Mentor Early in Career staff and review technical work.
• Deliver tasks on schedule and budget, adhering to quality standards.
• Coordinate with other discipline groups and external clients.
• Perform design tasks independently.
• Coordinate with Business Development leaders for project opportunities.

Requirements

• BA/BS and 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience/education.
• Professional Engineering (PE) License or Professional Traffic Operations Engineering (PTOE) License.
• Preferred minimum 7 years of experience in civil engineering fields.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using Traffic and Traffic Simulation Software.
• Ability to work as a team member or independently.
• Good interpersonal skills and time management skills.
