Traffic / ITS Engineer - Remote

AECOM is seeking a well-qualified Traffic or ITS Engineer to work remotely supporting many different offices across the Greater Midwest and Greater Southwest. In Short

• Support a team of professionals to deliver traffic analysis, forecasting, safety studies, traffic simulation, and conceptual planning/design.
• Prepare plan sheets, specifications & estimates, technical memoranda, reports, presentations and other project documentation.
• Work on ITS or emerging technology projects following the systems engineering process.
• Serve in various roles on traffic/ITS projects.
• Participate in the production of technical deliverables.
• Mentor Early Career staff and review technical work.
• Deliver tasks on schedule and budget while adhering to quality standards.
• Coordinate with other discipline groups and external clients.
• Perform tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
• Coordinate with Business Development leaders to capture project opportunities.

Requirements

• BA/BS and 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil engineering, traffic control design, or ITS engineering preferred.
• Registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain PE license within 6 months.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Traffic and Traffic Simulation Software.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good interpersonal skills and time management abilities.
