Counsel (Operations) - Remote

Overview

AECOM is seeking a creative attorney to support operations in its East Region, focusing on construction law and legal issues related to contracts for engineering and construction services.

In Short

• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and legal documents.
• Provide guidance on risk management and company policies.
• Advise on pre-litigation disputes and potential claims.
• Manage litigation matters with outside counsel.
• Conduct research into legislation and legal precedents.
• Prepare legal memoranda and briefs on organizational risks.
• Support compliance with federal and state laws.
• Work collaboratively with multiple offices in the East Region.

Requirements

• J.D. Degree and 5 years of relevant legal experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Member in good standing with a U.S. state bar.
• Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.
• Prior experience in engineering, architecture, or construction is preferred.
