Overview

Advanced Agrilytics is seeking a Regional Sales Specialist (RSS) to join our Southern Indiana/Kentucky Grower Direct team! The RSS will focus on selling agronomic products and services within a specific region, helping farmers and agricultural businesses optimize crop production, and providing technical support on agronomy-related solutions.

In Short

  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve or exceed regional sales targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities within the region by building relationships with farmers, co-ops, and distributors.
  • Provide agronomic expertise to clients, offering solutions for soil health, crop protection, nutrient management, and pest control.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to promote new agronomic products and technologies.
  • Track and report on sales performance, including key metrics such as revenue, customer acquisition, and retention.
  • Work closely with agronomists, product, and marketing teams to ensure the timely delivery of products and services.
  • Provide after-sales support, following up on product performance and helping clients troubleshoot any challenges.
  • Organize and participate in field trials, demonstrations and educational workshops.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and business reviews to management.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to drive sales and build long-term relationships with customers.
  • Deep knowledge of crop management, soil health, and agronomic best practices.
  • Proficiency with precision agriculture tools and technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to adjust strategies in response to changing market conditions.
  • Four-year Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Business, Agronomy, or related field.
  • Preferred minimum 5 years of experience in roles owning full sales process.
  • Willing to maintain or obtain a Certified Crop Advisor certification within 1 year of employment.
  • Proficient in computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • All applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S.
