Employee Relations Representative I - Remote

Overview

The Employee Relations Representative I serves as a key member of the corporate Employee Relations team in a large-scale healthcare organization with over 10,000 employees across multiple states. This role provides foundational support for employee relations matters, collaborating with HR Field Partners, SR HR Leaders, Legal and Operational Leadership. Manages a high volume of low to moderate Employee Relations cases while ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures across a geographically dispersed workforce. *Please note, this is an early in career position.*

In Short

• Manage high-volume employee relations cases across multiple states and business units
• Triage incoming ER cases through centralized intake system
• Conduct preliminary fact-finding and investigations for low to moderate complexity cases
• Document all case activities in enterprise HRIS system
• Maintain case closure targets for standard ER matters
• Apply employment laws consistently across multiple state jurisdictions
• Provide guidance to managers and employees on policy interpretation
• Utilize enterprise HRIS and case management platforms
• Prepare unemployment claim responses for multiple state jurisdictions
• Participate in cross-functional HR projects

Requirements

• 1-3 years of HR experience with exposure to employee relations
• Healthcare, retail, logistics, or other high-volume service industry experience preferred
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
• Working knowledge of federal employment laws
• Experience with enterprise HRIS systems
• Strong case management skills
• Excellent written communication skills
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
