Document Review Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Document Review Specialist is responsible for reviewing delivery/shipping tickets documentation and on-site orders to ensure AdaptHealth is meeting compliance standards according to payer regulations/guidelines prior to releasing the on-hold delivery ticket in our billing system.

• Review delivery/shipping tickets documentation for compliance.
• Manage patient eligibility documents and analyze billing documentation.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation prior to claims release.
• Identify trends for process improvement and efficiency.
• Verify insurance coverage, co-insurances, and deductibles.
• Collaborate with sales and support staff for timely documentation receipt.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Complete assigned compliance training and educational programs.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of work-related experience in healthcare administrative roles.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial health plan requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Ability to handle stressful work environments.
• Must be able to perform repetitive motions due to extensive computer use.
