Overview

The Legal Counsel at Achievers provides general legal support across the business, focusing on commercial legal matters to assist the Revenue team in executing legal strategies.

In Short

• Draft, review, and negotiate customer agreements.
• Manage customer commercial contracts repository.
• Conduct legal research on emerging issues.
• Negotiate new customer deals and support RFx responses.
• Maintain and update legal templates.
• Manage the legal helpdesk queue.
• Handle additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Communicate effectively at all levels within the company.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in tasks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• J.D. or LL.B. degree.
• Active membership in a State Bar in the US or Provincial Bar in Canada.
• Knowledge of privacy law and experience with DPAs.
• Experience with SaaS and subscription agreements preferred.
• Ability to manage complex contracts independently.
• Exceptional business judgment and creativity.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable interacting with senior management and teams.
