Legal Counsel - Remote

Overview

The Legal Counsel at Achievers provides general legal support across the business on various legal matters, focusing particularly on commercial legal matters to support the Revenue team.

In Short

• Draft, review, and negotiate customer agreements including NDAs and commercial contracts.
• Maintain and manage customer commercial contracts repository.
• Conduct legal research on emerging issues and industry regulations.
• Negotiate new customer deals and support customer legal requests.
• Support RFP responses in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Update templates to improve workflow within the legal department.
• Manage the legal helpdesk queue for timely responses to requests.
• Handle additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of relevant work experience in private practice or in-house.
• J.D. or LL.B. degree with outstanding academic credentials.
• Active in good standing in a State Bar in the USA or Provincial Bar in Canada.
• Working knowledge of privacy law and experience negotiating DPAs.
• Experience with SaaS and subscription agreements preferred.
• Track record of managing and negotiating complex contracts.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
