Hedera is seeking a Legal Counsel to provide exceptional support to the General Counsel and the legal and regulatory needs of a blockchain and cryptocurrency environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in U.S crypto regulations and a passion for navigating the evolving legal landscape of digital assets, decentralized technologies, and financial innovation.

In Short

• Provide legal support to the General Counsel.
• Advise on U.S. federal and state regulations affecting blockchain and cryptocurrency.
• Draft and negotiate various agreements.
• Ensure compliance with crypto regulations.
• Advise on intellectual property matters related to blockchain technology.
• Support corporate governance matters.
• Stay updated on global legal trends affecting crypto.
• Work closely with the legal/governance team.
• Engage with experienced legal professionals.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admission to at least one U.S. state bar.
• 1-3 years of legal experience in fintech, crypto, or blockchain.
• Strong understanding of U.S. crypto regulations.
• Experience with contract negotiation and drafting.
• Knowledge of IP law and open-source licensing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
