Senior Data Management Engineer - Remote

Overview

The primary responsibility of Senior Data Management Engineer is to build data pipelines, model and prepare data, perform complex data analysis to answer Business questions, build and automate data pipeline and quality framework to enable and promote self service data pipelines, assist in operationalizing the AI / ML Engineering solutions. This role is expected to lead and guide other team members and evangelize the design patterns as well as coding standards.

• Team up with engineering teams and enterprise architecture to define standards and practices.
• Create and maintain the data ingestion and quality testing framework.
• Conduct complex data analysis for Business Users or Technology team partners.
• Build and automate data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
• Setup and improve the data quality and audit monitoring.
• Evaluate process automation options and collaborate with engineering.
• Document design principles and best practices.
• Participate in the Data Academy to train users on Data.
• Respond to production data quality or pipeline issues.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Enterprise Data Management or Data Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in building metadata driven data pipelines.
• Expert level SQL knowledge on various databases.
• Experience in a multi-developer environment using Azure DevOps or GitLab.
• Experience with ETL platforms.
• Knowledge of Terraform, Azure CLI, and Containerization.
• Functional knowledge of Reporting tools.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to implement Agile methodologies.
• Self-starter, collaborative, and highly motivated.
