Senior Software Engineer, Data Orchestration (Airflow) - Remote

Overview

Slack is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Data Orchestration Team, where you will help build and maintain a scalable and resilient ingestion platform for data.

In Short

• Develop and maintain real-time analytics and low-latency data access layers.
• Optimize workflows for data users at Slack.
• Improve data quality and reliability of pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners and lead technical initiatives.
• Coach and mentor other engineers.
• Write and review technical design proposals.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data infrastructure.
• Experience with real-time analytics and OLAP stores.
• Familiarity with Apache Airflow or other orchestration tools.
• Experience in building and maintaining large-scale ETL pipelines.
• Proficiency in object-oriented and/or functional programming languages.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead design and implementation of complex solutions.
• Dedication to code quality and operational excellence.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
