Overview

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying, developing, and converting white space sales opportunities across the U.S., focusing on UNFI, KeHE, and new direct national and regional chain customers.

In Short

  • Drive incremental volume growth and manage KPIs.
  • Lead new chain prospecting and onboarding.

  • Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification to execution.
  • Communicate effectively with distributor and customer partners.
  • Travel required up to 40% for customer meetings.
  • Collaborate in a people-centric culture focused on growth.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience in the Consumer Goods industry.
  • 3+ years of experience with distributor and customer partnerships.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business development skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strong negotiator and influencer.
  • Highly numerate and analytical.
  • Self-directed and able to work independently.
  • 4-year college degree preferred.
