Legal Counsel - Remote

Overview

We’re looking for a Legal Counsel at Zerion to take full ownership of legal matters, balancing hands-on work with strategic guidance. This role requires a mix of independent legal execution and managing external counsel and contractors across multiple jurisdictions, including the US.

In Short

• Act as the company’s primary legal expert, providing strategic and operational legal counsel.
• Stay ahead of regulatory changes in cryptocurrency, fintech, and financial services.
• Oversee corporate matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts.
• Ensure compliance with KYC/AML regulations.
• Handle inquiries from authorities, investors, and customers.
• Regularly update internal legal documents aligning with product developments.
• Manage the Company’s data and complete KYC forms.

Requirements

• LLB/LLM or equivalent law degree with 3-7 years of PQE in crypto, fintech, or venture-backed tech startups.
• Strong knowledge of US corporate and contractual law.
• Experience handling legal matters in fintech, crypto, and financial regulations.
• Proven experience handling corporate governance and compliance frameworks.
• Ability to balance risk assessments with practical solutions.
• Strong negotiation, drafting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently manage legal matters while coordinating with external partners.
