Senior Linux System Administrator - Remote

Overview

Parsons is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to support high-performance computing systems and contribute to the design of future platforms.

In Short

• Support system administration for ARL high performance computers.
• Advise on architectural tradeoffs for new systems.
• Identify open-source software tools for production platforms.
• Develop software instrumentation for performance measurement.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for HPC system administration.
• Work collaboratively with a team of system administrators.
• Maintain and support aging HPC systems.
• Integrate new capabilities into existing systems.
• Standardize software stacks to reduce complexity.
• Promote a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of directly related experience.
• Extensive background in diverse Linux operating systems.
• Experience with high performance computing and Linux tools.
• Linux+ and Security+ certifications (or equivalent).
• Top Secret security clearance required.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Awareness of emerging hardware/software capabilities.
• Ability to sustain and support aging systems.
• Ability to standardize software stacks.
