Senior Linux System Administrator - Remote

Overview

MentorMate, Part of Tietoevry Create is inviting a talented professional to join our growing team as a Senior Linux System Administrator.

You will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing the IT infrastructure for our customer, BICS. You will be responsible for taking technical leadership and engineering ownership of various components, including enterprise backup solutions, virtualization platforms like VMware, and hyperconverged infrastructure. Your expertise will be essential in designing new solutions that meet both technical and business requirements while considering total cost of ownership (TCO).

In Short

• Take technical leadership & engineering ownership around multiple IT infrastructure components.
• Deliver design for new solutions considering technical and business requirements.
• Manage the systems lifecycle including supplier roadmap evaluation.
• Enhance existing infrastructure & solutions based on performance and future forecasts.
• Strong experience in system administration and infrastructure solutions.
• Experience with virtualization platforms like VMware.
• Expertise in hyperconverged infrastructure and SAN storage.
• Knowledge of performance tuning and automation with Ansible.
• Familiarity with IaaS services like AWS & Azure is a plus.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Keycloak is an advantage.

Requirements

• Strong experience in system administration, design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Experience with virtualization platforms: VMware.
• Experience with Hyperconverged Infrastructure: HPE Synergy & HPE Primera Storage.
• OS administration: Redhat.
• Performance tuning skills.
• Automation experience with Ansible.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Rancher is a plus.
• Knowledge of IaaS services: AWS & Azure is a significant advantage.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Keycloak is also beneficial.
