SCA-UXO Technician I - Remote

Overview

The SCA-UXO Technician I will assist in making the world safer by providing technical support in the identification, classification, and disposal of unexploded ordnance (UXO) in affected communities.

In Short

• Conduct reconnaissance and classification of UXO.
• Identify various military munitions and their components.
• Perform excavation procedures for buried UXO.
• Transport and store UXO and demolition materials.
• Prepare electric and non-electric firing systems.
• Assist in decontamination station operations.
• Wear appropriate protective equipment in contaminated areas.
• Document explosives safety status of materials.
• Construct protective works for UXO-related operations.
• Work in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited UXO Technician I school.
• Ability to operate vehicles for moving explosives.
• Knowledge of military and civilian magnetometers.
• Understanding of risk-hazard analysis procedures.
• Ability to perform operator maintenance on equipment.
• Must possess appropriate licenses for vehicle operation.
• Ability to work in contaminated environments.
• Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
• Willingness to undergo additional training as required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.
