Overview

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented UXO Technician III for employment on Guam, responsible for performing reconnaissance and classification of UXO and supervising various related activities.

In Short

  • Perform reconnaissance and classification of UXO.
  • Identify various types of munitions and explosives.
  • Supervise excavation and recovery of subsurface UXO.
  • Construct engineering controls and ensure compliance with laws.
  • Conduct daily safety and task hazard analysis briefings.
  • Prepare UXO-related administrative reports.
  • Maintain a daily logbook of activities.
  • Supervise the donning and doffing of PPE.
  • Conduct transportation and storage of UXO.
  • Dispose of UXO by burning or detonation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma + 4 years of experience.
  • Current driver’s license required.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
  • 8-hour OSHA Supervisor training.
  • Graduate of military EOD assistant course or accredited UXO technician training.
  • Minimum 1 year MEC-related experience for military EOD school graduates.
  • 8 years minimum MEC-related experience for accredited UXO School graduates.
  • Graduate of OSHA-compliant Management and Supervisor Training Course.
  • Explosive Ordnance Disposal certificate preferred.
