Overview

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented UXO Technician I for employment on Guam, assisting in the identification and handling of unexploded ordnance (UXO).

In Short

• Perform reconnaissance and classification of UXO.
• Identify various types of munitions and explosives.
• Assist in excavation procedures on buried UXO.
• Maintain military and civilian magnetometers.
• Locate surface UXO using visual means.
• Transport and store UXO and demolition materials.
• Prepare non-electric and electric firing systems for UXO disposal.
• Participate in safety and fitness for duty exams.
• Complete required training and certifications.
• Work in compliance with Department of Defense regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Current driver’s license.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
• Graduate of a military EOD assistant course or accredited UXO technician training course.
• On-the-job training in MEC-related activities.
