Principal Urban Designer - Remote

Overview

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Urban Designer to join our team! In this role you will get to work on marquee urban development projects and create master plans that will change the fabric of our cities.

In Short

• Lead multidisciplinary team and provide clear instructions and guidance.
• Prepare work programs to translate project objectives into detailed plans.
• Perform and manage complex urban planning and design tasks.
• Review and ensure compliance with local and international standards.
• Gather and analyze data on economic, social, and physical factors.
• Develop technical inputs for high-quality plans, reports, and presentations.
• Maintain contact with external agencies for project objectives.
• Support business development including bids and client relationships.
• Prepare business presentations to promote design studio works.
• Engage clients in the Middle East for project success.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, or Architecture.
• Minimum 15 years of urban planning and design experience.
• Experience with clients in the Middle East is essential.
• Ability to produce master plans and conceptual designs.
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in design software and 3D modeling tools.
• Creative thinking and understanding of best practices.
• Ability to represent diverse interests in planning processes.
• Professional certifications are a plus.
• Ability to perform in a lead capacity on projects.
