Overview

The World Resources Institute is seeking a consultant to support the Nairobi Climate Resilience work package under the African Cities Climate Resilience Program. This role involves developing strategies for enhancing climate resilience in urban settings, particularly through nature-based solutions.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in relevant fields such as environmental science or urban planning.
  • 8+ years of experience in climate resilience projects.
  • Proven ability to analyze urban climate vulnerabilities.
  • Experience in developing citywide climate resilience strategies.
  • Understanding of Nairobi’s urban governance and environmental challenges.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination skills.
  • Expertise in GESI mainstreaming and climate policy analysis.
  • Familiarity with GIS and spatial analysis tools.
  • Fluency in English with excellent technical writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliverables.
