Climate Change Senior Consultant - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a Climate Change Senior Consultant to join our team in Johannesburg, focusing on decarbonization and climate change projects internationally.

In Short

• Conduct Greenhouse Gas Assessments and Decarbonisation Plans.
• Analyse climate projection data for future scenarios.
• Assess climate change risks and opportunities aligned to ESG and TCFD.
• Execute net-zero projects in line with SBTi.
• Compile technical reports and disclosures.
• Manage and mentor the team.
• Conduct project administration including financial and safety coordination.
• Act as a SHEQ role model and promote safety.
• Knowledge of South African environmental legislation.
• Willingness to travel in Sub Sahara Africa if required.

Requirements

• An Honours degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in climate change consulting.
• Analytically minded with Excel expertise.
• Experience with technical report writing and data analysis.
• Programming on Python will be advantageous.
• Some exposure to proposal writing will be advantageous.
