Senior Fire Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Fire Engineer will be part of the Fire Engineering Team to serve as an expert technical consultant on fire safety, fire prevention, fire protection and life safety engineering issues for internal and external clients.

In Short

• Consulting engineering and project management for all fire safety and fire system design aspects of assigned projects.
• Develop fire safety plans including evacuation and firefighting equipment.
• Write reports detailing rational designs that deviate from standard solutions.
• Assist junior engineers with technical designs and queries.
• Meet with clients, architects, and other professionals.
• Consult with authorities on safety regulations.
• Design fire detection and suppression systems.
• Review drawings by the BIM team in 2D and 3D.
• Prepare tender documents and specifications.
• Conduct site inspections and construction monitoring.

Requirements

• Minimum BEng / BSc / BTech Degree from an accredited university.
• Professional Registration with ECSA (Pr. Eng. or Pr. Tech. Eng).
• 5-8 years’ experience in Fire Engineering.
• Experience in the Consulting Engineering Industry is advantageous.
• Valid Code B driver’s license and own transportation.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
• Data Centre experience is highly advantageous.
